We often receive information from the police that investment scams through online brokers occur in large numbers. Many contacts with data subjects are made through advertisements. A serious impression is conveyed. Big profits attract.
With the financial services provider ScalptreX (scalptrex.com), there is a risk that your investments will be lost. You must act quickly and correctly.
Catch customers with celebrities
On Facebook and other social platforms, perpetrators use photos of celebrities or video footage from TV shows without legal permission. The advertisement claims that celebrities like Thelen or Jauch have secret knowledge and thus generate huge revenue. Scammers want to pass on this supposed knowledge.
Blacklisted trading scams
Celebrities can hardly defend themselves against such abuse of their person, since an international investigation is difficult here. Anonymization tools are used and the server infrastructure is frequently changed so that investigating authorities do not have access to it.
Cheated on the phone
It should be noted that fraudulent brokers mainly operate by telephone. Clients are easily convinced over the phone, according to the experience of providers.
Private matters are also a topic in phone calls. The contact person also gives details about his private life, or so it seems.
With such confidence-building measures, the foundations for fraud are then laid.
Unfortunately I was too careless
It is not uncommon for me to find that people affected by gangs of fraudulent brokers are ashamed of what is going on and therefore do not tell trusted human beings. It’s understandable, but short-sighted.
Scam gangs operate in a way that, in our experience, anyone can fall in love with. There is no reason to be ashamed. It is even important that you confide in family members and friends. Otherwise, you are isolated and become almost incapable. Only scammers would take advantage of this. Therefore, talk about what happened with an uninvolved third party.
Who sits on the board of ScalptreX (scalptrex.com)?
A closer look at fraudulent online providers and online brokers often does not reveal who exactly owns and operates the website in question. A fingerprint is often not found according to legal information.
Contrary to legal requirements, no exact address is given and information about the management, for example the name and surname of the managing director, is not published.
Customers then cannot know who is responsible for the transactions. Anonymity protects the fraudulent activities of the authors.
Fraudulent investigations
In the meantime, in my consulting practice, I often have the experience of clients falling into other scams as a result of scams. Alleged investigative companies that advertise with guarantees of success contact those who have already been cheated.
For example, the appropriate contacts then indicate that the funds should be recovered from the original scammers and their companies. Attention will then be given to appeals and to the local police in support of the recovery of funds. The argument is that the practices are “pretty crude”.
Lawyer specializing in computer law against commercial fraud
In one case, it was claimed that a “digital virus” “implanted” into a file was used to gain access to the author’s IT infrastructure.
It should also be possible to recover transfers in cryptocurrencies.
These so-called “private investigation services” ask for cash payment in advance. Under no circumstances should you engage with those services that have a “digital virus” or other “strange” practices.
Are my bitcoin payments gone forever?
In many cases of fraud, funds are deposited directly into crypto exchanges. There, the amounts are transmitted to the authors in the form of cryptocurrency. Those affected continue to wonder if they can recover these payments.
Anyone who acquires crypto-currencies is the owner of these sums. If cryptocurrencies are passed on to unknown third parties by fraud, the original buyer remains the owner.
Since payments are processed internationally, there are obstacles and difficulties in enforcing property rights. However, this observation is not static.
Wealthy victims of fraudulent activities are currently deploying all legal means to enforce their property rights. I hope these activities will be successful and victims of dishonest brokers will also find ways to recover their cryptocurrency ownership.
