However, a survey now shows that the normal wealthy in the US are also investing primarily in cryptocurrencies.
According to an article by investment site The Motley Fool, 68% of Americans with total wealth of at least $1 million have invested in crypto. In total, around 4.7 million people have invested mainly in cryptocurrencies because they expect high returns. However, 61% of these crypto investors also believe in the concept of cryptocurrencies, while 60% view crypto as a safe investment. There are a few surprises when it comes to the most popular cryptocurrencies among US millionaires.
It is not surprising that 60% of these crypto investors own Bitcoin (hardware wallet from 59 euros at Amazon), while 55% have invested in Ethereum. But memes or altcoins such as Dogecoin and Shiba Inu Coin are also surprisingly popular with this group of investors, with 86% owning at least one of these alternative cryptocurrencies, which we’ve covered extensively already.
