Will Ethereum take off in 2022?
Investors should not expect Ethereum to make any significant moves towards all-time highs again in 2022. However, predictions for 2023 are quite optimistic that the smart contract platform will pull off a brilliant recovery.
Currently, Ethereum is in further decline, with the bears taking the digital asset from yesterday’s high of $1,271 to $1,224, marking a daily loss of 3.7%.

Predictions see no bullish momentum for Ethereum in the coming weeks, on the contrary: top analyst “MacnBTC”, for example, writes to his 345,000+ Twitter followers:

Goals: $1,070, $1,000”
MacnBTC is not alone with its bearish predictions: in fact, many industry watchers assume that Ethereum is gearing up for another correction. “This rejection doesn’t look good for ETH,” warns top trader pseudonym Livercoin.
“If we lose the recent low at $1160, I see us back to 3 digits.”
Popular charting guru Altcoin Sherpa also expressed frustration with Ethereum’s price action. He has “no idea what’s going on on this graph”, but notes:
“Looks like it’s going even lower, like going back towards $1100.”

Important here: these are only short-term forecasts – in the medium term, analysts consider a recovery to be likely. It remains to be seen how quickly Ethereum can reach new local highs then.
