It’s no secret that there have been many unexpected new multi-millionaires due to the crypto boom in recent years. However, many seem to continue to underestimate the wealth that can be built up by investing in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (in the form of a collector’s item from 5 euros at Amazon). However, a well-known and fairly experienced hedge fund manager even expects crypto and blockchain to generate more wealth than the internet itself has generated so far.
Morgan Creek Capital CEO Mark Yusko said so in a video interview with cryptocurrency website CoinTelegraph. As part of the so-called “Web 3”, he expects blockchain-based cryptocurrencies to offer huge growth from a financial perspective in the future. The reasons for this are relatively simple, as this type of financial activity is much larger than the media, information and e-commerce companies that have dominated the Internet until now.
However, Yusko warns that there are still major hurdles to overcome before growth can begin as more governments and banks attempt to regulate and usurp cryptocurrency trading. During this resistance, there could also be a significant correction in the crypto market for the time being, until the expected explosive growth begins. As interesting as Yusko’s explanations are, such speculation should of course always be viewed with a fair amount of skepticism.

The tech bug caught me at a young age, when I took my first steps into PCs in the Pentium II era. Since then, modding, overclocking, and meticulous care of my hardware has just been part of it for me. During my studies, I also developed a particular interest in mobile technologies, which can make stressful everyday student life much easier. After finding my love for creating web content while working in marketing, I set out as an editor at Notebookcheck to research the hottest topics in the fascinating world of technology. Outside of the office, I have a particular passion for motorsport and mountain biking.
